FCA Arts

The Arts Program at FCA provides students with a well-rounded opportunity to explore creativity through visual art, drama, band, and choir. Each area encourages students to develop their unique talents while building foundational skills in performance, expression, and artistic technique. Through hands-on learning and collaboration, students grow in confidence, discipline, and an appreciation for the arts. As they create, perform, and express themselves, students are reminded that their gifts can be used for a greater purpose, worshiping God with all they do. Through the arts, students are encouraged to use their hands, voices, and creativity to honor Him. The arts were beautifully showcased during FCA’s Night of Worship in May, where 1,800 parents and church members attended to view the student art exhibit and enjoy performances featuring all students. The evening highlighted the creativity, talent, and dedication of our students in a meaningful celebration of worship and the arts.

Arts Opportunities!

Art

The Art Program at FCA provides students with a creative space to explore and express their ideas through a variety of artistic mediums. Students develop foundational skills in drawing, painting, and design while learning important techniques, artistic concepts, and an appreciation for visual creativity. The program encourages imagination, careful observation, and attention to detail, helping students grow both artistically and personally. Whether they are discovering new talents or building on existing skills, students gain confidence in their ability to create and share their work with others.

Drama

The Drama Program at FCA offers students in grades 6–8 an exciting opportunity to explore theatre through two full-length productions each year, one at Christmas and one in May. Our most recent performances in the 2025-2026 school year were The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Peter Pan. Students learn essential acting skills such as audition preparation, memorizing lines, and bringing characters to life, while also developing stage presence and confidence in front of an audience. Along the way, they build teamwork, creativity, and the ability to step outside their comfort zones, making drama both a fun and rewarding experience for all participants.

Music

Our music program provides students with a strong foundation in music through General Music, Choir, and Band, helping them grow as confident and expressive musicians from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Rooted in a Christ-centered approach, we believe music is a gift from God and a powerful way for students to reflect His creativity, pursue excellence, and use their talents for His glory.

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participate in two annual performances, a Christmas concert and a Spring concert, celebrating their learning and progress. Middle School Band students perform in a Fall, Christmas, and Spring concert, and also have the opportunity to perform at basketball games.

Through performance, skill-building, and collaboration, students develop a lifelong appreciation for music while growing in discipline, creativity, and teamwork, learning to honor God in both their effort and their attitude.

K-3 Music

Here we are laying the foundation for how students experience, understand, and create music, not just perform it. This class is less about perfection and more about exploration, movement, and building musical instincts. Students will learn how to hear, feel, and respond to music through active participation. Within a Christ-centered environment, students begin to recognize music as a way to express joy, gratitude, and wonder for what God has created, learning that their creativity reflects the image of their Creator.

4-5 Band

Our 4th–5th Grade Band program is designed to introduce students to instrumental music while building strong foundational skills, musical confidence, and a love for ensemble performance. Students learn to play a band instrument in a structured, encouraging environment that emphasizes both individual growth and teamwork. As part of a Christ-centered music education, students are encouraged to approach practice and performance with diligence and humility, recognizing that developing their abilities is an opportunity to steward the gifts God has given them.

4-5 Choir

Our 4th–5th Grade Choir program is designed to develop confident, expressive young singers while building strong vocal technique and musicianship. Students grow not only as individual vocalists, but also as members of a unified ensemble, learning how to listen, blend, and perform together. In a Christ-centered setting, students are reminded that their voices can be used to encourage others, communicate truth, and bring glory to God through music.

6–8 Middle School Band

Our Middle School Band program builds on the foundational skills developed in elementary band and challenges students to grow as independent musicians and confident performers. Students refine their technique, expand their musical understanding, and develop a strong sense of ensemble as they work together toward high-quality performances. Within a Christ-centered framework, students are encouraged to pursue excellence not for recognition, but as an act of worship, giving their best as a reflection of their character and faith.

Middle School Band encourages discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Students are challenged to take ownership of their progress while supporting one another in a positive and collaborative environment, learning to lead with humility and serve their ensemble well.
