Faith Stories

“I am 14 years old and am in 8th grade. Something that I like about Faith is the teachers and how they look to pursue a relationship with you. If you ever have any questions or problems, they go out of their way to help you. I love that we get to have Bible class at Faith. In Bible, you build such authentic relationships with your peers. You get to open up and share your struggles and relate with others on so many different levels. We are encouraged to get involved in our faith and do things like join the worship team. In chapel we talk about the character trait of the month that we have school-wide. We get to dig into these traits that can help us with our spiritual walk in life. Overall, Faith is a very special place that is near and dear to my heart because of how I have built my own faith as well as an amazing community here at this school. It truly feels like “home” to me. I recommend Faith because it will leave an amazing impact on your life not just in academics, but in all areas.”

“My daughter had a shadow day at Faith. Upon dropping her off, I noticed the genuine care all the faculty shows their students. Mrs. Dais asks every student she sees how they are doing and every interaction I saw with teachers was genuine kindness and care. When I picked my daughter up at the end of the day, she looked visibly different- like the weight of the world had been taken OFF of her shoulders! She exclaimed ‘Mom I BELONG here! Everyone is so kind!’ The atmosphere at Faith is an environment where students seem happy, loved and cherish. What a gift it was for her to be in that environment!”

“I’m one of those people who started school here the very first year it became Faith Christian Academy. In fact, Marty Hasz, the school founder, was my first teacher. He was the most passionate storyteller (sound effects always included)…especially when he taught social studies. I graduated from Faith Christian in 1993 and went on to earn a journalism degree from Colorado State University, which is where I met my husband, Mike, as he was simultaneously earning his engineering degree.

Faith Church and Faith Christian Academy were always a huge part of my life. Faith is home! That’s one reason why it wasn’t difficult to decide where to educate our three kids, all of whom began attending Faith Christian as kindergartners.

My youngest, having seen her older brother and sister move through the grades, learning, advancing and exploring, is so eager for middle school next year. She has so much to look forward to: Camp Timberline, the ski trip, Washington, D.C. And it brings a huge smile to my face to hear her say, “I wonder what I’m going to learn in 6th grade?” and “I can’t wait for 6th grade science class!” For now, I’ll eat up every last minute with my elementary-aged kid!”

“Our move to FCA from the local public schools was 3 years ago. We were really looking for a school whose mission was work with us as we try to raise kids with solid character and a love for Jesus. It’s been such a positive move for our entire family. All four of our kids have been greatly impacted by the teachers who pour tirelessly into them, the community that looks to build them up, and by being taught the bible on a daily basis.

Two of them have become believers since being at Faith and we truly believe it has so much to do with the teachers who spend hours loving on and pouring into our kids. We’ve watched as they were prayed over on their birthdays, hugged when needed, celebrated for the big and small victories, danced and sang to worship music in chapel, and were pointed to scripture when there was a struggle. We’re so thankful for this school, along with the friends we’ve all made and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else as a family.”

“I was in our son’s room and noticed a note on the wall closest to his bed. It was a personal reminder of his focus and purpose for competing in Cross Country. “I’m not running for first place, I’m running for the Lord Himself.” No one was watching when he wrote these words, nor when he quietly displayed them next to his bed…no one except the Lord Almighty! The image of our son running for and after the Lord will forever be impressed upon our hearts. Faith Christian’s teachers, coaches, administrators and staff have been instrumental in coming along side of us, as parents, to instill Godly character in our boys and for that we are eternally grateful.

There are many reasons to be proud of our children. However, our family has found that the most pure, most praiseworthy moments are the ones where they are shining when no one but God is watching. These are moments when they reflect God’s love because they know and love Jesus.”

“We have twins enrolled in 4th grade. When they first started kindergarten, at Back-To-School-Night, when the teacher said “Let’s start in prayer” I started weeping, because that is exactly what I wanted for my children. “I wanted prayer in school and for God to be the center.” One day, I asked them what they learned in school and they replied “our shapes and how they relate to God. The triangle is like the trinity and a circle is like God because it is never ending.” We wanted God taught in everything and are thrilled with how the Faith teachers take such simple things like shapes and find a way to use them to teach students about God. Today, we see a deepening relationship with God in their children’s lives.”

“My husband and I were in the first kindergarten class when the school became FCA from Jesus Center School. We attended school K-12 together and started dating the year after we graduated from high school, getting married two years later. We didn’t want our kids to have the public-school education. We want Christianity woven through all their subjects. That is what we remember from our years at Faith: having all subjects revolve around Christ as the center. Having that foundation is what kept us Christ-focused through our college years, where we might have strayed. We have so many memories of beautiful, amazing chapels, Christianity taught in all parts of our lives, and teachers that poured into us. We’ve even kept lasting relationships with some of those teachers.”
